With a little practice, along with the included instructions from Legendary English turner Bill Jones, you can quickly learn to cut threads on boxes or center work. Three tools are required to chase threads, #1 an outside and inside chaser tools, #2 a thread chaser recess tool and #3 a lathe that can be slowed down to 100 - 300 rpms. This scraper quickly and cleanly cuts a perfect recess while leaving a clean groove that is unnoticeable in your finished project. Thread chasers work best in dense hardwoods and are sold as a set (one inside and one outside chaser). 5 handles, approximately 10 overall length.
